The Chicago Cubs defeated the Houston Astros, 5-4, in 11 innings in National League action at Wrigley Field. Chicago pitcher Richard Neal had a standout performance. Chicago has a record of 21-27, placing them 4th in the National League Sparrow Division.

The Cubs got a clutch hit from center fielder Matt Walter Jr.. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cubs.
