Edmonton turned a good performance from starting pitcher Conlan Melton into a 3-2 triumph over the Omaha Storm Chasers in 10 innings at Field of the Edge. John Sakakihara picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jameson Cromer suffered the loss. For the Storm Chasers, the loss makes them 6-13.

The Edge got a clutch hit from center fielder Breki Hannibalsson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Edge.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Melton. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
