Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Tim Matsushita, the El Paso Chihuahuas stopped the Omaha Storm Chasers, 8-1, in 9 innings. The loss drops Omaha to 2-15.

With El Paso trailing 1-0 in the top of the second, Matsushita hit a fastball from Steve Cheney for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Chihuahuas ahead, 2-1.

Said losing manager Heath Chastain: "Give the Chihuahuas credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
