The Iowa Cubs had their hands full with El Paso Chihuahuas starter Marco Guevara, who frustrated Iowa hitters while leading El Paso to a comfortable, 6-1 win. The victory makes El Paso 12-6.

Warren Schneckenburger was 2 for 4 with 2 singles for El Paso. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Earl Turner. It was his 15th hit of the season.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Chihuahuas manager Sawyer Sandbach.
