Aces Rally Late to Clip Winnipeg
|
The Reno Aces cut down the Winnipeg Goldeyes by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Bray Pizer. Pizer went 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Aces. The winner was Latrelle Hamilton in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Randell Maxwell took the loss. Winnipeg now has a record of 9-10.
Reno took a 5-3 lead on Pizer's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Randell Maxwell in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Reno to the win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Winnipeg manager Júlio Sánchez. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
