The Oklahoma City Wranglers beat the Nashville Sounds, 8-5, at Wranglers Ballpark. Oklahoma City second baseman Homero Madera had the hot bat. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Alexander Hamilton Gray picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-0 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. "This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Madera told the Oklahoma City Bulletin. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
