Baby Cakes Use Late-Game Magic to Beat River Cats, 12-9
Jeremy Alexander was the difference-maker for the New Orleans Baby Cakes in what turned into a shootout with the Sacramento River Cats. Alexander went 4-for-6 in the 12-9 Baby Cakes win. The win gives New Orleans a record of 8-8.

Cliff Williams delivered a big hit for New Orleans. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baby Cakes ahead, 10-8. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"If it's down the middle," said Alexander, "you might as well hit it."
