Storm Chasers Need Extra Innings to Top Chihuahuas, 7-4
The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 7-4, in 10 innings. Omaha pitcher and Cathedral City, California, native Heath Albino led the way. Omaha pitcher Rio Ropp earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. Luke Font suffered the loss. Brock Winger, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

Omaha used a timely hit from D.J. Matsuoka to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Storm Chasers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Omaha manager Heath Chastain.

Omaha is now 7-9.
