ThunderSharks Win Thriller, 1-0
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Smith's Ballpark.
Oklahoma City wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Axel Corriveau, falling to the Honolulu ThunderSharks, 1-0. Corriveau threw 8.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The loss puts Oklahoma City at 9-6.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Honolulu designated hitter Rory Allen, facing Braylon Hanson, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the ThunderSharks the 1-0 win.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Woo-jin Sim. "That was the problem."
