The New Orleans Baby Cakes picked up a win at Southwest University park, taking down the El Paso Chihuahuas, 4-3. Starting pitcher Hadji Koulibaly was a big reason why. Jojo McCray earned the save for New Orleans, his 3rd. With the win, New Orleans boosts its record to 7-4.

New Orleans won the game in part because of Reuel Mitchell. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Baby Cakes ahead, 2-0. For the game, Mitchell had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said New Orleans skipper Alex Orozco. "I can't complain."
