New Orleans turned a fine outing from starter Kayel Colas into a victory over the Edmonton Edge at Zephyr Field. The final score was 2-1 in 11 innings. The winner was Milton Adair in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John Sakakihara took the loss. New Orleans has a record of 4-2.

The Baby Cakes got a clutch hit from third baseman Eddie Perlman. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Baby Cakes.

"It was a test of wills," said Bobby Gomez, the New Orleans skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
