Buckwalter Helps Aces Defeat Rainiers, 5-2
The Reno Aces used the hitting of designated hitter Nathan Buckwalter to subdue the Tacoma Rainiers, 5-2. For the game, Buckwalter was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Stephen LaPrade, his 2nd this season. The loss puts Tacoma at 1-4.

Buckwalter had a timely hit for Reno in the bottom of the sixth. With Reno trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-2 changeup into a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 3-2, Reno.

Reno manager Ross Winfrey was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
