Nashville Topples Tucson, 2-0
|
The Nashville Sounds had to overcome a fine performance from Tucson pitcher Gunner Braverman to grab a 2-0 win at First Tennessee Park. Braverman allowed 2 runs over 6 innings. Dan Bower, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. With the win, Nashville improves its record to 3-2.
Vicente Prieto dealt the Sidewinders a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Nashville leading 1-0, Prieto hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single.
