ThunderSharks Get One-Run Win at Tucson
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Tucson Sidewinders home opener. Robert Valenzuela started for the home team against Richie Wahl for the Honolulu ThunderSharks. The Sidewinders were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 5-4, Honolulu. Elijah Vanderpool, though, was impressive. Picking up the win was Richie Wahl. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. Sam Young earned the save, his 1st, for the ThunderSharks.

It could have been a different outcome for Honolulu, had it not been for Paul Daniels, the 27-year old first baseman . Daniels contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Honolulu up, 5-3.

"At least I did my job," Daniels said.
