Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Inland Empire 66ers and the Evansville Triplets. Inland Empire won it, 2-0. Inland Empire starter Neil Mogel was in command. Mathew Parrish earned the save for Inland Empire, his 1st of the year. The win has Inland Empire at 1-1.

The 66ers got a big at-bat from catcher Nick Stevens. For the game, Stevens was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Inland Empire a 2-0 lead.
