Sidewinders Clip Storm Chasers, 4-3

Crowds lined up early in front of Greater Nevada Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2060 Triple A season. On the mound was Michael Honeycutt for the visiting Omaha Storm Chasers and Zane Mills for the hometown Tucson Sidewinders. In a spirited contest, the Sidewinders pulled out the win, defeating the Storm Chasers by the score of 4-3. Especially impressive was B.J. Guida. Tucson reliever Toby Barker picked up the win to move to 1-0. Emmet Bayless suffered the loss.
The Sidewinders beat the Storm Chasers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Luka Cambre produced in the bottom of the seventh. Batting against Emmet Bayless, Cambre gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a run-scoring single.
Cambre attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
