Fans who congregated at BB&T Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

Due in large part to shortstop Nicky Raimondo, the Round Rock Express sunk the Evansville Triplets, 8-6. Raimondo was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Reliever Phil Christen picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Fernando Chavez took the loss. Getting the save was Elias Shorty, his 2nd.

Arthur Mansfield came through with a big-time hit for Round Rock. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Express manager Mark Ennis.

The loss has the Triplets at 1-2.
