Bulls Deal Buffalo 3-2 Defeat
|
The Buffalo Bisons were defeated, 3-2, by the Durham Bulls at Coca-Cola Field, even though Seaborne Wilson pitched well for Buffalo. Durham reliever Von Salzillo picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Seaborne Wilson took the loss. Durham is third in the International League Southwest Division with a record of 72-63.
Durham used a clutch at-bat from Leo Heroy to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bulls ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We were in it," said Buffalo manager Rich Hernandez. "We just didn't score enough runs."
