Riding the 3-hit performance of the 33-year old shortstop Cory Martínez, the Toledo Mud Hens stopped the Rochester Norsemen, 5-2. Xavier Hazel earned the win for Toledo. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 8-12. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Tackett.

Early in the game, Martínez had a 2-run home run for Toledo. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Mud Hens on top, 3-1.
