Chiefs Net 4-3 Win Over Oddballs
|
The Syracuse Chiefs and Ottawa Oddballs played an entertaining game for Ottawa Ballpark patrons.
The Syracuse Chiefs picked up a win at Ottawa Ballpark, dropping the Ottawa Oddballs, 4-3. A.J. Greenberg was the difference-maker. Greenberg, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs.
Syracuse used the timely hitting of Toby Troy to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Chiefs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Troy.
The Chiefs raised their record to 76-60.
