Syracuse Chiefs starter Elias Thompson pitched his team past the Scranton Dundies, 4-2. Thompson got the win, improving to 3-5. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Daniel Leone earned the save for Syracuse, his 25th.

Syracuse won the game in part because of Jonathon Vasquez. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chiefs ahead, 4-2. For the game, Vasquez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
