Dundies Topple Bats with Late Rally
|
Dundies catcher Jimmy Stancati left his mark on his team's 8-3 win over the Louisville Bats. Stancati went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Scranton in the contest. Dennis Amalla, credited with the win in relief, is now 6-11. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. At 55-75, the Dundies are currently last in the International League Northeast Division.
Scranton used the timely hitting of Pierce Baquet to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dundies on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Baquet attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
