Colorado got an elite performance from starting pitcher Ross Allen in securing a 2-0 decision over the Los Angeles Dodgers. R.J. Shannon nailed down the save. Colorado now owns a record of 30-17.

Allen earned the win to move to 4-1. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 2 hits, striking out 6 and walking 2. The right-hander allowed the Dodgers few scoring opportunities.

"Ross did a heck of a job," said Colorado manager Carlos Becerra.
