The skies opened up and the rain fell at McCormick Field.

The Greenville Drive got production from their entire lineup in an easy 17-3 win over the Asheville Tourists. Doing his part was designated hitter Nicolás Galeno. Galeno was 3-6 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win cannot erase the fact that Greenville still has a disappointing 35-71 record.

Delbert Richardson was 3 for 7 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Greenville. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Yonal Monteverde. It was his 20th hit of the season.

"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Asheville skipper Paul Smith.
