Lexington Still On the Schneid After 3-1 Loss to Intimidators
|
In a tight game between the Kannapolis Intimidators and the Lexington Legends, pitcher Nicholas Fry was terrific on the mound. The Kannapolis right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Fry, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 11, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Slim Ferguson collected his 31st save.
The Intimidators got a big at-bat from catcher Lloyd Barber. For the game, Barber went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Kannapolis a 3-1 lead.
"Nicholas was really good, wasn't he?" said Kannapolis manager Jason McDonald.
The Intimidators are now 63-40, while the Legends fall to 28-75.
