Hot Rods Victorious at Kannapolis, 9-8

Both teams had their chances, but the Bowling Green Hot Rods eventually prevailed.
The Kannapolis Intimidators got a superb performance from shortstop Tom Sargent, but the Bowling Green Hot Rods still won the game, 9-8. Sargent was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Ulises Guzman got the save, his 8th in 10 chances.
Third Baseman Serpente Miranda made an impact for Bowling Green, when he swatted a 2-run double off Santino Salazar in the top of the second. For the contest, Miranda went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We take it day by day here," said Miranda, "and today was a good one for us."
With the win, Bowling Green goes to 50-52, while the Intimidators fall to 59-43.
