White Sox Down Angels, 7-2
|
The Chicago White Sox dumped the California Angels, 7-2, in large part due to catcher Ryder Speyer. On the day, Speyer was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the White Sox. Chicago now sits in second place in the Western Region Central Division at 24-22.
Chicago used the bat of Noah DuBois to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Speyer told the Chicago News.
