Buffalo Dismisses Birmingham, 3-1
|
In a tight game between the Buffalo Bisons and the Birmingham Barons, pitcher Francisco Delgado was terrific on the mound. The Buffalo right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Colby McFarland Jr.. Buffalo has won 3 straight, while Birmingham has lost 3 in a row.
Buffalo used the hitting of Juan Alfonso to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bisons on top, 3-0. For the game, Alfonso had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
After the game, Alfonso told the Buffalo Gazette, "Like I've always said, the challenge is what makes this game worth playing."
