Stripers Get Past Birmingham for 10-9 Win
The Gwinnett Stripers outlasted James Andren and the Birmingham Barons, 10-9. Andren was impressive in the loss. The Birmingham third baseman belted 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times. Reliever Peyton Monroe picked up the win. His record improves to 9-7. Jaye Crull took the loss. The Stripers now have a mark of 64-61.

Gwinnett got a knockout punch from Bray Brown. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The crowd went nuts," Brown said.
