Coolray Field played host to some exciting baseball.

Newark catcher Cullen Hern had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hern went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, even as Gwinnett beat the Bears, 10-9. Ezra Cuthbert, 3-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings.

Luis Andujar was the walk-off hero for Gwinnett. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stripers designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Andujar said.

The Stripers, at 58-63, inhabit 4th place in the International League Southwest Division.
