Mesquite Glaze was nothing short of phenomenal for the Newark Bears. The 26-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Syracuse Chiefs, 3-0. With the win, the Bears have a record of 57-60.

The Bears got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jacob Glasser. For the game, Glasser went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Newark a 3-0 lead.

After the game, Glasser told the Newark Herald, "Like I've always said, the challenge is what makes this game worth playing."
