Yusmeiro Avalos was instrumental in his team's 8-6, extra-inning triumph over the Syracuse Chiefs. The third baseman was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Charlotte Knights. The Knights now own a record of 39-74.
