The Chicago White Sox wiggled past the Cleveland Indians, 6-5, in 10 innings at Tecumseh Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Stan Wilbur. The winner in relief was Timothy Hullett. He is now 2-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The American League Sandoval Division-leading White Sox are 33-12.

Miguel Rivera went 1 for 3 with a walk for Chicago. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Lewis Maffeo. It was his 20th RBI of the season.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Wilbur.
