Fresno Falcons starter Victor Kennedy was on his game, helping his team beat the Kansas City Royals, 5-1. Mikel Rodriguez closed it out for his 2nd save. Fresno now has a record of 28-17 with the win.

Wendolyn Valdez had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Fresno. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Fresno in front, 3-1.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Valdez after the game.
