The Toledo Mud Hens and Scranton Dundies riveted fans at PNC Field.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Avila Del Cid, the Scranton Dundies defeated the Toledo Mud Hens, 8-2. Del Cid went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Dundies. Drew Thomas was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.

With Scranton leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Del Cid hit a fastball from Wil Michell for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Dundies ahead, 4-0.

"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Peter Carter.

The Dundies raised their record to 66-47.
