Mud Hens Go 10 Innings to Beat Buffalo, 6-4
|
There was no shortage of dramatics at Fifth Third Field.
The Toledo Mud Hens stopped the Buffalo Bisons, 6-4, in 10 innings at Fifth Third Field. The Mud Hens got a big game from Bill Mullins, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Travis Salsgiver picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Dennis Trujillo suffered the loss.
In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, Mullins hammered a 2-run home run to win it for Toledo.
"There's no quit in this team," said Mud Hens manager Tony Cerda.
Their 46-70 record puts the Mud Hens 6th in the International League Southwest Division.
