Scouts Overcome Gem from Darvin, Pull Out Win
|
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
The Chattanooga Scouts had to overcome a good performance from Shreveport pitcher Joshua Darvin to claim a 1-0 win at AT&T Field. Darvin went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Brandon Webster was called on to finish, recording his 29th save.
Darvin gave opposing hitters fits all game. He allowed 1 hit in 7 innings while striking out 14 in a fine outing, but the Scouts didn't give him much run support.
With the victory, the Scouts record stands at 63-40.
