Ishii Hits Two Dingers, Engineers Win, 9-0
The Shreveport Engineers pinned a convincing loss on the Mississippi Braves, 9-0, at Trustmark Park. Tracey Ishii was a main factor in the win. He was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 7 for Shreveport. Brandon Slack went 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the SL in quality starts with 12, struck out 6 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 10-5 this season. Their 59-44 record puts the Engineers 4th in the Southern League Texas Division.

Early in the game, Ishii had a 3-run home run for Shreveport. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Engineers on top, 3-0.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Ishii told the Shreveport Gazette.
