The Shreveport Engineers welcomed the Chattanooga Scouts to an night game at AT&T Field.
Shreveport Engineers pitcher Vassily Andersen was in top form, leading his team past the Chattanooga Scouts, 4-0. The Engineers bumped their record to 52-50 with this latest triumph.
Shreveport used a well-timed hit by Eric Proctor to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Engineers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We did a lot of things right," said Proctor.
