Late Magic Gets Shreveport 9-6 Win
|
The winning streak continued for Shreveport.
The Shreveport Engineers saddled the Montgomery Biscuits with a loss at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The final score was 9-6. Justin Seeman was 3 for 5, including 2 singles and 1 home run. The Shreveport second baseman scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Shreveport reliever Ché Baez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Bode Henry shouldered the loss. Lindy Dondelinger earned the save for Shreveport, his 4th of the year.
Seeman had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Bode Henry, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Engineers a 7-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Seeman.
"We're developing a swagger," said Seeman.
The winning streak has now reached 14 games for the Engineers.
