Bats Fail for Shuckers in 5-0 Loss
|
Scott Smith never let Biloxi get something going. The Alexandria right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Aces to a 5-0 win. The slumping Shuckers have dropped 7 in a row.
Smith, who dominated for Alexandria, earned the victory to move to 3-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 4. Biloxi batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Scott -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Aces manager Timmy Rodenkirch. "He was the key to us winning."
