Northwest Arkansas overcame a superior effort from Joshua Darvin to beat Shreveport, 2-0. The Shreveport pitcher threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The win went to Julian Joseph in relief, making him now 1-8. Garth Thomas took the loss for Shreveport. Despite the win, Northwest Arkansas still has a godawful 21-77 record.

Richard Schreier came through with a big-time hit for Northwest Arkansas. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Schreier told a Northwest Arkansas Daily reporter that he felt "relieved" after the win.
