Losing Streak Continues for Scouts with 4-3 Loss to Flying Squirrels
|
St. Petersburg beat Chattanooga at The Diamond, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to catcher Andy Gothier. He went 2-3 with a double and a walk. The losses continue to pile up for Chattanooga, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
Early in the game, Gothier had a run-scoring double for St. Petersburg. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Flying Squirrels on top, 1-0.
"Shoot," said losing manager Carlos Alaniz, "I thought we might win one."
