Arkansas Gets 6-3 Road Win
|
Thad Shipman, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2053 draft, had a strong outing for the Arkansas Travelers against the Frisco RoughRiders at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Shipman got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Arkansas, at 67-32, is cruising.
It could have been a different outcome for Arkansas, had it not been for Hollis Freeman, the 27-year old third baseman . Freeman contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Arkansas up, 5-3.
