Nick Lauson did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the San Antonio Missions from being beaten, 7-4, to the Montgomery Biscuits at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Lauson was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Montgomery pitcher Catfish Crest got the win, upping his record to 5-3. Rowen Jones got the loss. Montgomery currently is in first place in the Southern League Southeast Division at 58-40.
It could have been a different outcome for Montgomery, had it not been for Elijah Schulte, the 27-year old right fielder . Schulte contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Montgomery up, 4-3.
"We took home the win," said Schulte. "What's not to like?"
