Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Security Bank Ballpark.

In a high-scoring contest between Midland and Mississippi, designated hitter Jesse Fuller was a difference-maker. Fuller distinguished himself in the 14-8 Midland win. He went 2 for 2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Wendell Kamstra earned the win to go to 5-1. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.

In the bottom of the fifth, Midland left fielder K.J. Rice had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Rice stroked a run-scoring single to right-center. It made the score 6-4, Midland. For the game, he was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Midland manager T.J. Saddler. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
