Hooks Stop Jumbo Shrimp, 3-0
|
Simon Lohry pitched well, but his team, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, still dropped a 3-0 decision to the Corpus Christi Hooks at Whataburger Field. The Hooks' win now puts them at 51-46.
Corpus Christi first baseman Joshua Monroe contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Hooks ahead, 1-0.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Monroe told the Corpus Christi Citizen.
