|
Asheville parlayed a decent outing from starter Braxton Vaughn into a solid win over the Hickory Crawdads. The final score was 4-3. Carlos Roman, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The win puts Asheville at 41-59.
Otis Morgan came through with a big-time hit for Asheville. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Braxton's as tough as he is talented," said Asheville manager Miles Yilmaz.
