RiverDogs Stick Bananas with 9-7 Loss
|
Charleston shortstop Brennan Stell was a significant contributor in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Savannah Bananas. He went 3-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for Charleston. Today's win puts Charleston at 47-51, while Savannah falls to 45-53.
Stell contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Charleston in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Stell took a fastball from Braden Snodgrass and stroked the home run to left-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the RiverDogs to leap in front, 3-2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Stell told the Charleston Times.
