Blue Wahoos Keep Clicking, Win, 6-4
|
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
Behind the bravura of designated hitter Heath Rogers, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos topped the Tulsa Drillers by the score of 6-4. Rogers went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blue Wahoos. Picking up his 22nd save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Kolter Rodgers.
Left Fielder Regis Celestin made an impact for Pensacola, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Fred Nickell in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Celestin went 2-3 with 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times.
Pensacola manager Bill Ortiz was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
Pensacola has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
