The Montgomery Biscuits and Alexandria Aces played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Hurler Cooper Bolan gave the Montgomery Biscuits a solid start. The native of Jeffersonville, Indiana helped his team defeat the Alexandria Aces, 3-1, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. The winning pitcher was Bolan, now 3-4. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. Sánder Ramires closed out the game, earning his 30th save.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Jayden Bernstein didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Alexandria trailing 3-1, Bernstein retired Jordan Allen to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Bernstein, with a wink.

The 'W' lifts Montgomery's record to 60-36.
