8-1 Loss to Scouts Extends Northwest Arkansas Losing Streak

The Chattanooga Scouts picked up a win at AT&T Field, dropping the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 8-1. Yeris Guzman was the difference-maker. In 6 innings, Guzman surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Razan Shigematsu recorded the save, his 2nd.
In the bottom of the fourth, Chattanooga left fielder Shad Houck had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Houck stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Chattanooga. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with a double.
Northwest Arkansas manager Ben Brewer, after yet another defeat, said: "Guys need to step up. Pronto."
