The Twins grabbed a win, 5-2, at Marlins Park, overcoming a fine effort from Miami pitcher Rick Young. Young went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to Aaron Murray in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ricky Conklin took the loss. Minnesota is in 5th place in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division with a record of 20-24.

Minnesota used a clutch hit from Jordi Ortiz to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Ortiz, "and then get after it again."
