Riding the 3-hit performance of shortstop Chris Brkic, the Peoria Pride got a road win against the Glendale Gauchos, 11-1, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. Brkic was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Pride, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Peoria used a clutch at-bat from Jack Brenner to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pride ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Glendale manager Tony Coto summed up his team's performance in one word: "Pathetic."
